Another Side Of Morris Been long awaiting a book from the incomparable, uber talented and ultra-cool Morris Day... definitely was not disappointed in how this book was written, the narrative he provided and all the time and care he put into discussing all his moments and memories with Prince (and the ingenious way he gave Prince an opportunity to ‘explain his side of the story’)... truly this is a man who deeply respected and admired his beloved friend. Prince may have been (and still is) a musical icon to so many, but to Morris he was and still is his brother. Just like Sheila E’s incredible book - ‘The Beat Of My Own Drum’ - Morris protects Prince’s legacy all the while in discussing their differences, what pulled them apart, and the various experiences that brought them back together... there’s a definite love and bond there that no matter what, it’ll never be broken. I always knew that ‘Morris Day’ the artist was the epitome of ‘cool’ but after reading this ? Morris Day - the man - truly is everything and more.amazing book This book was amazing, a real page turner from beginning to end.stunning one man show as two people Prince help create the Morris day role on wax,however Morris Day had that vibe which took it to a whole different level. also Morris Day was not Only a close Friend like a Brother to Prince, he also was his drummer and they did alot together in terms of music, in terms of Morris Day doing video work for him, also movies together. if Morris Day was to do a broadway show on this Book this would be amazing and if anybody can capture Prince in thoughts and feelings especially when it comes to Music than its Morris Day and this is a must have and read. respect
