Great feel good, summer read! I really liked this book. I read it when I was going through a tough time and it just sort of motivated me to enjoy life, to just get out there and do something that lets me breathe and relax. A lot of people complain and criticize that she was rich and could just -do- these trips, but I liked it. For me, I just drove to a new city and watched the sun set on the ocean. It motivated me to make my own trip and enjoy life and I liked that. She just felt so real with life and I related to her and her love of food.DON'T RECOMMEND i loved her book "The Signature of All Things". This is more of an autobiography about a needy, self centered personUnless you want to hear about her life problems and complaints - skip this book. I wish I had read a sample before I bought the book. I didn't get past the 3rd chapter. It starts off with how she sobs at night because she wants a divorce. And then on to her husband being mad because she wants a divorce - and then he's still mad when she moves in with a guy. Well duh. Not for me.
